Luisana was born and raised in East Palo Alto, CA. Growing up in a neighborhood where many families had less than most and faced tough surroundings, she witnessed the resilience of her community and is now committed to serving the community that shaped her. As the daughter of immigrant parents, she also understands the unique challenges many local families face and is passionate about creating accessible, supportive spaces for them.

Before joining our team, Luisana spent over 15 years working in education research, where she developed databases to track all aspects of data for various projects and served as a researcher conducting interviews and observations with students and families.

She is fluent in Spanish.
