Kate joined CLSEPA in September 2019. Prior to law school, she worked as a legal assistant at Van Der Hout, Brigagliano, and Nightingale, LLP, an immigration law firm in San Francisco. Next, she moved to Quito, Ecuador to work in refugee policy at Asylum Access, and then to Brooklyn, New York to work with migrant youth at Catholic Migration Services. While in law school, she worked with detained immigrants in removal proceedings at the Legal Aid Society in New York and then in the Immigration Unit of the Los Angeles County Public Defender. She graduated from UCLA School of Law in 2019 and UC Berkeley in 2011. She speaks Spanish.
