JOB OPPORTUNITIES

Pro Bono Opportunities

Community Legal Services in East Palo Alto (CLSEPA) offers a wide variety of pro bono opportunities.

“We educated, privileged lawyers have a professional and moral duty to represent the underrepresented in our society, to ensure that justice exists for all, both legal and economic justice.”

-Associate Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor

We invite private attorneys and attorneys and paralegals from firms and in-house legal departments to take full-scope cases or to volunteer in our immigration, housing and reentry clinics.  All of our pro bono volunteers receive training and mentoring throughout a case and our clinics are supervised by expert attorneys.  We are a certified MCLE provider and also provide malpractice insurance for our pro bono volunteers. Check out our Pro Bono Year in Review for more background on how you can make a difference!

To receive regular emails about available cases, or for more information, please feel free to email us at probono@clsepa.org.

Volunteer

Community Legal Services in East Palo Alto (CLSEPA) welcomes a diverse range of volunteers.

If you are bilingual in English and another language, please sign up for our Volunteer Interpreter Panel!  We are particularly in need of Spanish speakers but welcome all bilingual volunteers who can be called upon to interpret at hearings or interviews during the week.  If you have a little less flexibility during the day, you can also volunteer to interpret documents for our clients remotely.

For more information, email us at volunteer@clsepa.org.

Note: CLSEPA welcomes a diverse range of volunteers. However, due to the sensitive nature of our work, we do not accept high school applicants.
