Prior to joining us, Joyce worked as a US corporate associate at Linklaters LLP in London and was pro bono Project Advisor to the international human rights clinic at the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London. She served as a Development and Advocacy associate for a Palestinian women’s rights agency and supported a consortium of Israeli and Palestinian non-profits to prepare and present a women’s human rights report to the United Nations Convention on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) Committee. She has also served as Project coordinator with the Center for Islamic and Middle Eastern Law and as a legal researcher at the Documentation Center of Cambodia (DC-Cam), focusing on women’s rights advocacy. Joyce received her undergraduate degree from Columbia University, her MA in International Studies and Diplomacy from the University of London and her law degree cum laude from Rutgers School of Law.
