Amy Tannenbaum joined us in 2018 as an attorney fellow focused on improving employment outcomes for people with conviction records. During her time at Stanford Law School, Amy worked at the Community Law Clinic in East Palo Alto providing eviction defense and reentry legal services, and at the National Employment Law Project researching fair chance hiring policies. She founded Stanford’s chapter of the National Lawyers’ Guild and trained over a hundred students to be legal observers. Before joining us, Amy clerked for Judge Josephine L. Staton in the Central District of California in Santa Ana. She has a B.A. from Hamilton College, where she focused on comparative literature, theatre, and the intersection of the arts and social justice.
